Economy takes toll on older workers
According the Government Accountability Office, the majority of workers over the age of 55 looking for a job have been out of work for more than six months, and a third have been out of work for more than a year. For many older workers this means tapping into retirement savings, and taking an early retirement in order to receive Social Security. Many workers say that even if they have work or find a job, they will have to work longer in order to retire.
