EEOC investigates pregnancy discrimination case against Google
A former Google employee has filed a complaint against the firm with the EEOC, claiming that she faced discrimination because she was pregnant. Chelsea Glasson, the employee who filed the complaint, worked at Google for five years before leaving her job following her maternity leave. She wrote an internal memo detailing her experience in which she described her supervisor saying inappropriate things about pregnancy women and being denied a leadership position. Additionally, Google's HR department did not look into her complaint until she involved an attorney. Google responded to the EEOC last month stating that the firm found no evidence of discrimination.
