EEOC names Mitsubishi monitor as Dial observer
Five years after she was appointed to a three-person panel that brought about a dramatic turnaround in gender relations and management policies at a Mitsubishi plant in Normal, IL (see WIT for Oct. 21, 2002), Nancy B. Kreiter has been appointed to a similar panel at the Dial Corporation. Chosen by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to serve on the Mitsubishi panel established under the terms of the company's settlement in the largest sexual harassment case in US history, Ms. Kreiter was the agency's top choice to serve on the Dial panel. The research director of Chicago-based nonprofit Women Employed may face a more difficult time on the panel created by this second largest US harassment settlement in which---unlike Mitsubishi---Dial has refused to acknowledge a problem (see WIT for April 30, 2003).
