EEOC suit accuses Maytag of age bias
According to an EEOC class action lawsuit filed yesterday against Maytag Corporation, in eliminating 13 of its 22 regional sales positions during a 1999 company reorganization, eight regional sales managers over the age of 50 were demoted and not reinstated to their former positions. As a result the company is involved in one individual lawsuit in addition to the class action suit.
