Elon Musk allegedly floats firing Twitter workers in closed door conversations
Reports from unnamed sources claim that Elon Musk has been having behind the scenes conversations wherein he has suggested “cutting workers, inviting influencers to create content, and introducing subscription services to improve Twitter's bottom line.” None of these ideas were included in the formal plans that were presented to the company's board of directors. His statements about the bottom line seem to contradict his public statements wherein he said “Twitter is not a way to make money. I don't care about the economics at all.” Twitter’s CEO said that no layoffs are planned.
