Emanuel gets contracts done with 2 smaller unions
On Tuesday, Chicago officials announced that they had reached agreements with unions representing some city workers, including traffic monitors and emergency center workers. The contracts include wage increases over the next six years. The two contracts will cover about 8% of the city's 32,000 workers. Contract negotiations for teachers, police and firefighters are continuing. The proposed agreements need to be approved by the City Council.
