Emotional intelligence gets a second look
Emotional intelligence is becoming a popular issue in workplace psychology. Emotional intelligence refers to a person?s ability to skillfully manage their emotions and perceive those of others, and some experts believe it to be a better predictor of success that IQ. Companies are now using emotional intelligence concepts to evaluate and train employees. Some criticize the concept of emotional intelligence as being too broad and hard to accurately measure.
