Employees With 'High Potential' Need to Know
While many companies use reviews to identify employees with 'high potential,' very few workers are informed if they are identified. A new report finds that only 28% of companies tell employees that they have been identified as high-potential. Experts say that it can lead to employees feeling underappreciated, and looking for jobs elsewhere. Companies say that they do not want to foster hostility from those who were not selected, but analysts say that there are ways to design programs that reward employees without making others feel pushed aside.
