Employers Report Surge in Meth Use
A report by Quest Diagnostics Inc. indicates that the number of job applicants and employees testing positive for methamphetamine increased by 68 percent last year. The results are based on 7 million workplace drug tests performed which show that overall, the percentage of workers testing positive for all types of drugs has remained nearly unchanged, rising from 4.4 percent to 4.5 percent with marijuana continuing to account for the largest share of positive results.
