Employment rebounds in states that could decide next president
Labor Department figures predict some of the fastest-growing job markets for states that could be critical to the outcome of the 2004 presidential election. Industrial states in and around the Midwest such as Wisconsin, West Virginia, Michigan and Missouri are experiencing job growth double that of the national average. President Bush has credited the job growth to his plan of tax cuts.
