EMS and paramedic staff working for Hunter’s Ambulance are considering a potential strike as negotiations continue
EMS workers and paramedics workers who work for Hunter’s Ambulance in Connecticut are discussing the potential of a future strike as contract negotiations between employees and the company have stalled after many bargaining sessions. The workload for employees has increased in recent years due to the pandemic and because Hunter’s Ambulance became a part of the Hartford HealthCare system. Workers are hoping to receive pay increases and the leveling of pay between full-time and part-time staff. Workers are also concerned with safety problems and mandatory overtime, as well as increases in coverage areas.
