Last week, Google made the decision to lay off thousands of employees, including veterans in the company and high performers. This workforce decision has left many ex-Google employees feeling undervalued, as some have shared their disfavor in being notified of their dismissal via email. While the choice to cut costs through layoffs is one that many tech companies have been making recently, the Google layoffs came as a shock to many of the displaced employees who were not expecting such employment precarity.
