Exxon tells workers how to end the lockout
Exxon announced to its workers on Sunday that they will end the lockout if workers ratify the tentative contract agreement or decertify the United Steel Workers Union as their representative. Workers are scheduled to vote on Tuesday for the company's contract offer and the USW has urged workers to reject the offer. The union filed a complaint with the NLRB alleging the purpose of the lockout was to remove the union in June but Exxon argues that the lockout was to prevent disruption of a possible strike.
