Facebook Firing Case Is Settled
Employee Dawnmarie Souza was fired last fall over a Facebook comment regarding her employer, but the NLRB defended Souza by stating that the comment was ?protected concerted activity?, thus the firing was unwarranted. The case was settled after the employer agreed to change its general rules in the employee handbook regarding online posting so that it will not limit workers? rights. Another private settlement was made between the employee and employer, but the details were not disclosed.
