Factories in Cambodia disrupted by coronavirus
Approximately 200 factories in Cambodia will suspend or slow operations next month due to a shortage of raw materials from China caused by the coronavirus. The Prime Minister of Cambodia will grant tax breaks to garment factories that have experienced such disruptions. Additionally, the government will aid companies in compensating laborers impacted by production suspensions. The garment industry in Cambodia is the largest employer which makes the factory suspensions particularly challenging.
