Fate of the Immigration Bill May Hinge on Farm Districts
For congressman from districts that are dependent on agriculture, the new immigration bill may present a challenge. Many are being lobbied by the businesses in their districts, which depend on immigrant workers, to pass changes to the law that will allow them to increase their work-forces. While many agricultural districts are represented by Republicans, analysts say that they are being pushed to make changes to immigration.
