Female Lawmakers Float Package of Bills Seeking Pay Equity, Child Care Funding
On Thursday, female lawmakers announced a set of proposals that will help to lessen the wage gap in California and increase protection for family-leave. The bill that addresses the wage gap includes a clause that will require employers to provide a salary range for an open position and prevent them from asking for a candidate's previous salary. The other bill will give three months of job-protected paternity and maternity leave for most employees in California.
