Telephone interviewers at Field Research Corp. in San Francisco, a market research company that produces the closely watched Field Poll, are seeking union representation by the Communication Workers of America. The union wants Field to voluntarily recognize it as the workers' bargaining representative, but the company has so far refused, prompting the CWA to call for a certification election.
