Finding Good Reasons to Work With Time
The National Workplace Flexibility Project, a new program by the Department of Labor, offers advice and guidance to employers considering a shift to flex-time arrangements for workers. Among the benefits of flex-time cited by the Project are improved employee recruitment and retention, greater employee satisfaction, and better worker productivity. There are a number of different kinds of flex-time arrangements that can be used, depending on the needs of businesses and employees, but the Project recommends a number of guidelines for businesses to consider in order to ensure the most productive possible environment for workers.
