Firms Added 187,000 Workers in January, ADP says
Payroll processor ADP says that private employers added 187,000 jobs in January, less than Decembers 247,000 increase. ADP says that the hiring occurred across all industries and sizes of businesses. The service sector added 166,000 jobs in its twelfth consecutive month of growth. The Labor Department will release its report on Friday, and the report is expected to show a 145,000 growth in jobs, with the unemployment rate at 9.5%.
