Flexible work options expand beyond remote jobs, changing shift-based work in various industries
Recently, there has been an increase in flexible work options offered to workers in the hotel, warehouse, and manufacturing industries. Amidst a tight labor market, many of these workers are demanding more part-time, flexible work schedules and employers are recognizing the value in providing these nontraditional shift options to attract and retain their labor force. As a result, new phone apps, such as Shyft, have emerged to facilitate the scheduling of flexible work hours.
