Food buffets close due to COVID-19 concerns
A number of Las Vegas Strip locations have announced that they will be closing buffets temporarily due to coronavirus concerns. MGM Resorts, the owner of MGM Grand, Aria, Bellagio, and a number of other properties issued a statement regarding the closures which emphasized the firm’s concern for employees, guests and commitment to working with health officials. At present it is unclear how many employees will be impacted by the closures. MGM has stated that its labor relations officials will assist workers in employment transitions. Other local casinos have stated their intention to undergo deep cleans in order to protect guests.
