The elected chairwoman of the Change to Win Federation, Anna Burger, has a personal history deeply rooted in organized labor. The daughter of a Teamster, she worked as a shop steward among other positions while working her way up to executive treasurer of the Service Employees International Union. As chairwoman of the breakaway labor federation, Ms. Burger will look to forge ties between the groups she represents and use her labor background in organizing efforts.
