For MTA, Union: Go Signs
The leader of the Transport Workers Union Local 100, which represents Metropolitan Transportation Authority workers and the head of the MTA are working to forge a relationship. The hope is that a more cordial relationship between the two parties will stave off a strike and lead to smoother negotiations. However, the two sides remain opposed in their goals, with the TWU looking for raises and job security, while the MTA wants to cut costs.
