Ford announced that hourly workers will receive an $8,300 profit sharing bonus this year, the highest since the practice began in 1983. About 45,800 workers will receive the bonus, which is based on the number of hours worked. Hourly workers have not had a wage increase in over eight years, and the bonuses make up between 20-25% of their annual pay. Salaried workers will also receive bonuses.
