Foreign automakers drive jobs back to U.S.
The three big Japanese auto companies--Toyota, Honda and Nissan--are expanding their operations and bringing jobs back to the U.S. The Japanese car companies are moving operations here because they are selling more cars here, and producing them domestically is more cost efficient than shipping them overseas. The move also has political motivations, as it puts foreign imports in a more positive light.
