Foxconn faces fresh suicide fears as 14th worker dies
After another suicide at a Chinese plant, electronics manufacturer Foxconn is coming under scrutiny for its work practices. The company says that it is working with local authorities to investigate the death. Employee rights groups have criticized work practices at the plants, but the founder of the company says that none of the suicides have been work related. However the company raised wages in June from 91.30 euros a month to 203 euros a month. The company says that the raises are to attract better trained workers.
