France's new labor minister to meet with unions
After French President Nicolas Sarkozy replaced some members of his cabinet, in a move seen as a way to improve his chances for re-election, the new labor minister said that he will meet with union leaders to discuss the controversial pension reform. However, prison guards were striking on Monday, reminding the country that many were not going to settle for simply talking about the pension reforms. Other ministers, both old and new said that they would work on the tax system and further improving France's financial state.
