Freelance workers reshape companies and jobs
Many companies are hiring temporary workers for jobs. Temporary workers allow flexibility for employers in what jobs they have available and take away burdens of health care and some taxes. Temporary workers make up around 68% of the jobs added by private employers since September. Some employers say that hiring temporary workers allows them to hire specific skill sets for jobs, and then find another worker for a different job. While hiring temporary workers works well for employers, some workers say that they would rather have a steady job with one company, though some have embraced the system, which for highly skilled workers can allow them to make more money.
