Freeport Indonesia workers plan June demonstration
Workers at a mine in Indonesia are planning a protest against eh firing of three workers, as well as security issues, with shootings in the area killing 15 peoples and injuring many others. The protest comes after workers went on strike last year, halting production and causing a rise in copper prices. The mine has the largest gold reserves, and second largest copper reserves in the world. The union did not say when the protest would occur, or what it would consist of.
