Freezer Maker Settles Complaint by Muslims
Electrolux Home Products, a Minnesota freezer manufacturer, has settled a complaint concerning the religious accommodation of Muslim employees. A complaint was filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission after a dozen workers were disciplined for using an "emergency break'' for daily Islamic prayers. The settlement requires Electrolux to allow prayer times for Muslim employees, and give managers diversity training.
