French Police Begin Breaking Up Fuel Depot Blockades
French protesters continue to block gas stations, tunnels and roads, causing delays and cancellations for transportation. The pension protests have grown more and more violent, with protesters setting cars on fire and clashing with the police. The French government says that they will end the protests, calling them "delinquents." They also said that there would be no long term fuel shortage, with 25% of the nation's gas stations out of fuel. French refinery workers are protesting for the eight straight day, though the government ordered some refinery workers back to their jobs. The government also criticized unions for getting students involved in the demonstrations. Polls show that around 70% of the French population supports the strike.
