French Rail Ordered to Pay 150 Million Euros in Bias Case
The French railway company SNCF was found guilty of employee discrimination and now faces a fine of 150 million euros. 800 former and current Moroccan employees of SNCF filed a case against the company claiming that they were not permitted to be a part of the railwayman contract, a contract that SNCF only allowed european employees to take part in. The court ruled that the company had to pay approximately 200,000 euros for every employee Moroccan employee.
