French Renault Workers Take Managers Captive in Bid to Stop Factory Sale
Workers trying to block the sale of a Renault car parts factory held seven managers against their will for 12 hours. This is the latest instance of "boss napping" to occur in the French industry. Managers from the Fonderie de Bretagne were held by the union from Tuesday morning until 10:30 pm. A union rep, Mael Le Goff, said the union had decided to release the managers because of their resistance to engage in a constructive dialogue about the pending sale.
