French Students Protest, Despite Victory
Having defeated the controversial French jobs law on Monday, students and unions staged new protests Tuesday across France, hoping to force the government to pull other contested reforms. Hundreds of students marched in northeastern Paris, while in southwestern Bordeaux, at least 900 people marched behind a banner calling for the government to reverse a similar labor measure enacted in August.
