French workers at Goodyear tyre plant take bosses captive
Two Goodyear executives have been taken captive in a factory in French. The employees at the factory are responsible for the kidnapping are demanding ?enormous amounts of money?, but in actuality are hoping that their action will lead to further negotiations about the closing of the Goodyear in France. The executives have been allowed their cell phones and water and have been in dialogue with union leadership. The union has said that it is willing to wait for several days with the men captive because they feel that they have no other legal recourse. The industrial action stems from an insult to French workers by the CEO of the Goodyear.
