French workers continue to hold strikes and protests across the country in opposition of government's pension reform plan
On Thursday, thousands of French workers held protests in major cities across the country in opposition of the French government's pension reform. This demonstration marks the fifth disruption in four weeks, as workers aim to put pressure on the government to reverse its plan to raise the retirement age. The protests have already begun to obstruct President Macron's pension reform as various lawmakers have threatened to vote against it or have expressed doubts. Furthermore, French unions have vowed to fight the proposal and claim that it would punish those who entered the workforce at a younger age.
