G.M. Workers in Germany Protest Job Cuts a 3rd Day
Following General Motors announcement that it would cut up to 12,000 jobs in its European plants, workers at the Opel assembly plant in Bochum, Germany have staged a wildcat strike. Workers, who are planning protests and rallies at Opel plants across Europe, are demanding that G.M. guarantee it will not lay off workers or shut the factory down.
