Gay, lesbian workers gradually gain benefits
Even as the politicization of sexual orientation continues in the halls of government, signs indicate that gay rights are becoming the status quo in the halls of business. More than half of Fortune 500 companies offer health coverage to the domestic partners of gay and lesbian employees, and almost nine out of every ten ban discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.
