GE Union Rejects Proposal, Strike Looms
In union negotiations over a new contract, General Electric Co. has proposed sharing health care costs with workers, which have risen sharply in recent years. The union has rejected this proposal, and says that they are ready to strike over this issue. GE remains optimistic that a compromise will be reached.
