German unemployment weighs on voters
As German voters go to the polls on Sunday, experts believe that unemployment will be a key issue. Despite tough labour market reforms, the number of unemployed has risen to five million, and Germany's jobless are getting despondent. Both employers and employees have been frustrated with the German government's reform efforts, which sought to allow greater workplace flexibility, amongst other changes.
