On Monday, Amazon workers represented by the union Verdi went on strike over increasing pressure on workers as a result of the holiday season. 500 workers joined the strike as workers struggled to meet Amazon?s demands. The company employs approximately 10,000 workers in Germany at nine distribution centers.
