Germany Works to Get Migrants Jobs
Germany, which is expecting approximately 800,000 immigrants this year, will be launching initiatives to get these migrants jobs so that they are quickly integrated into society. Germany is currently facing a labor shortage, and increasing healthcare and pension costs, so new immigrant employees could be the boost the economy needs. Chancellor Merkel announced that $2.3 billion will be put toward helping these immigrants learn German.
