GM recalling 400 UAW workers at Spring Hill plant
GM is expected to announce that it will recall 400 workers to a plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee. the plant manufacturers four cylinder engines, and due to increased demand will restart operations. The plant laid off around 2,000 workers last year, 800 of whom relocated to other GM factories. UAW spokesmen declined to comment, as an announcement is expected on Friday, but said that they would be very happy if it happened. The Spring Hill plant is where GM first began producing Saturn cars 20 years ago.
