Gold One Says Workers' Strike Contravenes Wage Agreement
Workers at a South African gold producer have begun a strike, after submitting a notice at the end of May. The strike comes from a group of workers represented by the Professional Transport Allied Workers Union, who is not recognized by the company because it represents less than 30% of the workforce. The company said that the strike is against the contact, and that striking workers will receive no pay.
