Goodyear counts $350m strike cost
Goodyear has said a recent strike at 12 of its U.S. tire factories would cost it at least $350 million. The dispute, which saw 15,000 workers down tools for two months in protest at threats to jobs and health benefits, was resolved last week. But the action is likely to have cost the firm up to $35 million a week in lost production and sales, it said. Goodyear's shares rose by 1 percent, however, after it said it expected to save $610 million thanks to the new worker contracts.
