Google rolls out a plan for salary cuts for remote workers
Tech companies like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn have all warned their employees about pay cuts for remote work, and Google is the next to join the trend. Google says that their compensation packages have always been determined by location. The company has released a pay calculator that will explain potential pay cuts to their employees who choose to work remotely. For example, Google workers commuting from Connecticut could see their salary slashed by 15% while workers who continue to live in New York City's five boroughs would not see their pay slashed at all.
