Google says they will not raise pay to match inflation
In a special meeting on Tuesday with Google executives, the topic of workforce pay as it relates to inflation was addressed. The topics discussed at the meeting are determined by an internal forum where employee questions are submitted called Dory. With over 400 upvotes a question related to inflation costs and employee pay was raised. Google's vice president of compensation said that while he recognizes the significance of inflation and compensation concerns, the company will not be doing blanket pay raises. He also said that the company would be releasing compensation information to managers this week so employees will soon learn their compensation awards for the next year which will include competitive pay based on performance.
