A group of temporary and contract workers ratified their first union contract in July after two years at the bargaining table with their contractor, HCL America Inc. These workers, including some temp workers at Google, are represented by the United Steel Workers Union. Temp workers are reporting an unfair two-tiered system where they are paid less for doing the same work and constantly being mistreated. One worker said, “I busted my ass for them, you have no protections.”
