Greek Seamen Extend Port Strike
Greek seamen on Tuesday extended until early Friday a rolling strike that has shut down ports since last week, causing food and fuel supply problems and halting many exports. Greece's conservative government has put navy vessels on standby to supply islands where shortages have occurred. And it is awaiting a court ruling, expected later Tuesday, which could declare the strike by the PNO union illegal.
